My family joined a prayer group in Singapore. Groups like these are very good. Why? Because they are fun, warm, and God loving people. You definitely want to be friends with people like these. They are wealthy with goodness. We visited an elderly home and I found that beyond sharing worldly things, you can actually share time and attention to those who need it. Generosity can take the form of material or goodwill. At either point, this act of kindness is priceless. I brought my camera with me to capture moments. I thought that all along, I had a wide lens. I was actually counting on the Tamron 17-50 to do the job here but when I opened my bag, I had a Tamron Macro 90mm. I thought I blew this occassion as I have never used a macro lens on shooting portraits or people. I was totally taken aback when I saw that a Macro lens takes really sharp pictures with excellent bokeh and the pictures I got had excellent colors.
The Tamron Macro 90mm weighs just 400 grams and at 2.8 is fast. It's minimum focusing distance is 3.5 inches. There is a full/limit switch and the limit option saves you time by preventing the lens from hunting through the full focus range. The lens can be operated manually by pulling or pushing its wide focus grip. The glass is recessed so the hood really isn't necessary to use. The case is made of carbon which makes it light and tough. Of course I do not suggest you test this by dropping or shocking your lens. The package is basic. A box, manual, the lens, cap, hood , and a pouch.
Overall, the Tamron 90 Macro delivered results that were beyond my expectations. I personally have this in my armada and is definitely a good addition to yours.
